PITT – Swanson Engineering Manufacturing Assistance Center (MAC)

MAC’s facility at 7800 Susquehanna Street in Pittsburgh is 9,000 sq. feet. In addition to formal classroom space, the MAC’s machining lab has lathes, mills, drill presses and precision surface grinders, as well as HAAS and MAZAK CNC machines. This was new construction in an industrial building setting that provided interior buildout and acoustical ceiling taking into account space requirements for machinery.

  • Cloud bulkheads were built
  • New Recording Studio – acoustical installation and soundproofing of the space. Due to the nature of the recording studio, special gasketing material was placed around the doors and acoustical insulation was added.

"Wilco Construction worked on Phase 1 of a 3 Phase construction project at the YMCA Homewood-Brushton Branch. Working with the Wilco team felt like a partnership. They went above and beyond what was asked and provided excellent service. They were very professional and I will definitely recommend them for the additional phases of work to be performed at the YMCA.

“Our project required a tight turnaround with deadlines for us to hit. Wilco Construction worked extremely well and did great job with our renovation transforming it to a beautiful space. It takes a special talent to build new construction overtop the old structure while maintaining a sense of history. The employees at Wilco Construction are just good guys that work hard and are fun to talk to while delivering well executed project.”
